Although the year isn’t completely over yet, we have so much to be proud of, so many accomplishments and even more planned for the coming years.

Before any recaps and expectations, it is important to note that these are made possible by the great people driving the companies forward every day. Thank you!

Some of these may have been covered in previous quarterly updates, nonetheless, here are some of our highlights for the year.

• We purchased our new headquarters last December and spent much of our 1st quarter this year getting settled in, remodeling, building and optimizing the space for our continual growth and evolution. We managed to do this while continuing our operations uninterrupted and making Q1-2011 an exceptional quarter despite various inconveniences of relocating 20,000  sq. feet of business.
• Our engineering team was able to completely rewrite our order entry and CRM platform to improve performance, enhance the buying experience and provide greater post sale support to customers that purchased through our call center, now able to access their orders, invoices and even custom pricing via the online store.
• The IT and Operations staff completely rebuilt our internal and external networking and systems infrastructures, cleaning up 9 years of accumulated “stuff”. Our internals are now running on redundant virtual hosts in their own temperature controlled server room, our external systems have been moved to a new host that is twice as powerful and half as expensive!
• The accounting department has done a spectacular job this year after taking on and completing the acquisition of our new home late last year. Along with managing and maintaining our A+ credit rating, ensuring timely receivables and adjusting inventory levels to keep pace with our growth, they have reduced company debt by mid six figures and reduced annual expenses also by mid six figures.
• Our marketing department has been hard at work all year. They have launched dozens of single product stores such as SPA504g.com and SPA508g.com to highlight a specific products and the accessories supported by it. The also prepared dozens of videos to highlight the company, products and support issues such as configuration. The Why Buy from VoIP Supply video is a good example.
• The company was active within the community, supporting several local charities and organizations. Camp Good Days and the Buffalo City Mission were the two primary organizations though there were several other smaller involvements. Collectively, the company donated more than $25,000 financially and several staff members donated their personal/work time to be involved.
• Financially, the company rocked! We were able to exceed our annual projections before December even started and December has been an exceptional month on top of the holiday chaos. Our top line was at projections, our bottom line exceeded them due to greater than expected reduction in expenses. We projected revenue growth of 15% and exceeded it handily. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we did all of this with the same number of full time employees. This small fact is a testament to the individual skill development and dedication exhibited by the staff.
• Lastly… In a few months, on March 14th, we will be celebrating 10 years in business. We’ve had many years of acceleration via triple digit growth, a few years stalling the engine and pushing the company vehicle uphill, finally reaching the top, firing up the engine and we’re back to dominating the race!!

So now what? Maybe we should sit back and enjoy what we’ve built, watch it run, be satisfied as it is… Don’t count on it! Like I’ve said many times, nothing improves without change, embrace it!!

As we roll into our tenth year, 2012, we will be ignoring the Mayans and planning on being here for another 100 years. There are many initiatives and projects underway as I write this, plans to grow our existing business, enhance our offerings to the more than 100,000 existing customers and other plans to improve our people, processes and overall effectiveness.

I’d love to tell you the details, even high level overviews of these plans, but I can’t. I’m sorry. I’m sure you’ll hear about them soon enough

VoIP Supply: Just recently the company was named on the list of Western New York’s Top CEOs (previously Top 100 Private Companies) – this is our 7th consecutive time on this list. We added a new member to our sales team in Q3 and he is proving to be a valuable asset to the organization. VoIP Supply added a few new brands this past quarter including LifeSize and Panasonic as well as the AT&T Synapse PBX. Financially, Q3 was our most profitable quarter since early 2008 and far exceeded our earnings projections. Our VSP Program for Service Providers continues to grow exceptionally well with many new providers participating.

Sayers Distribution and VoIP Fulfillment: The division has grown well this year and particularly this past quarter. Sayers Distribution added several new customers to its portfolio and the VoIP Fulfillment team added about a dozen new service providers. Daily/Monthly output from this division more than doubled in Q3 and continues to accelerate into Q4 and 2012.  Leveraging strategic partnerships, both distribution and VoIP Fulfillment have expanded their offerings to include Just In Time orders and Global Delivery to more than 100 countries.

Sayers Media Group: Although there has not been too much activity within SMG since the recession start in 2008, where our focus was primarily on VoIP Supply, we have prepared a significant project for this division and are currently building the infrastructure to launch, support and grow a global services suite to debut in 2012. Stay tuned for updates on this project.

Q4 is already well underway and there will be a lot to shout about by the time it is all over. We have hired several additions in October/November for specific roles, projects and tasks – all very exciting! We are expecting this to finish up as our best year ever and setting the stage for our 10th year of business (2012) to continue the trend in many areas of the business.

April through June was yet another great quarter for Sayers Technology Holdings and its various divisions. Despite global economic uncertainty, our companies are growing in line with projections and plans set forth a year ago.

VoIP Supply made some exciting changes in Q2 and was able to do so with little to no disruption to our customers or our staff. Following on the heals of a major commerce platform revision in Q1, we integrated that platform with our ERP solution and implemented a new and far more efficient order entry system. Not only is this system faster and easier for our customers, it also provides online access to all of our managed accounts and telephone (non-web) based accounts, roughly 65% of our 115,000 customers worldwide. Financially the company remains highly profitable and on track for significant year-over-year growth at the top and bottom of the numbers.

IP Camera Supply remained inline with projections and also is on track for significant year-over-year growth. The company was also able to benefit from and utilize our centralized commerce platform enhancements and efficiency gains. We are looking forward to continued growth and profitability within our surveillance division for the remainder of the year and many more thereafter.

Sayers Distribution (VoIP Fulfillment) is experiencing extraordinary growth and will continue within the current quarter and the next few years. Though launched just a few months ago in November 2010, this division of the holding company will be reaching its break even mark in Q3 and is expected to complete this year in the black. The customers brought in during Q2 and anticipated growth the remainder of the year will allow us to expand our warehousing facilities and purchase a second warehouse within the commerce park.

Additionally, there are two very exciting projects in the works during Q3/Q4 that will take the company well beyond our projections and anticipated growth, look for details as these divisions/projects reach completion this year.

April was an excellent month for the company relative to its division’s financial accomplishments, project progress and completion as well as further defining the long term vision and road-map. We held our quarterly all hands on deck meeting off-site to discuss our company core values, associate success attributes, spend time together away from the office and to enjoy some live comedy to wrap up the evening. The event was excellent and really helped paint that picture for all to see and envision where they can and will fit into our future.

It was an excellent start to the year for all of us at Sayers Technology Holdings. Even with the distractions of moving and setting into our new building, the usual and anticipated slow month of January and the feverish uptick as the quarter came to a close, we finished the quarter strong and managed to exceed our Q1 of last year by more than 25%. We’ve launched a new services division, as indicated last quarter, that is squarely focused on reaching the VoIP service providers of the world and taking away their pain and distractions of product procurement, warehousing and logistics, returns and even technical support. We have some major improvements coming to our commerce platform both externally for our customers and internally for our sales, service and support departments. All of the commerce enhancements are designed to provide more efficiency, provide self-service for those that prefer it and streamline the process for those that reach our call center with questions, orders and support. Below are a few bullet points highlighting some of the accomplishments, projects, goals and activities within a few of our companies.

VoIP Supply:

• Last quarter we were named by TMC as the Vendor Supplier of the Year for 2010.
• Our quarter was profitable, in-line with projections and on pace for a 25% growth rate year-over-year.
• We have settled into our new home at 80 Pineview Drive in Amherst New York (14228)
• Closed the books on 2010 and recorded it with the IRS as our best year ever for income, earnings and within our balance sheet.
• Big announcement coming in Q2 for all of our customers, new and old

IP Camera Supply:

• Catalog management with many new brands and products
• Consistent growth, in-line with our projections and substantially greater than Q1-2010

Sayers Distribution (VoIP Fulfillment):

• Off to a great start with many new clients, new facilities, an enhanced API and customer portal
• Year over year growth in the triple digits
• Projections for growth are high and our pipeline is in-line with exceeding these projections
• Attended two trade show events this past quarter and gained a lot of exposure in the marketplace.

This is the fourth time we have been nominated for this recognition and I couldn’t be more proud of the people that make it happen every day.

This is most certainly one award that we cherish and strive to earn every year. Having nothing to do with sales, revenue, profits or other financial metrics, this one is all about our people and our culture.

It is amazing to witness the passion and determination of our people as they endure difficult times, enjoy the great times, work collectively to create new ideas, bend over backwards to help each other and their customers and generate the positive energy that empowers our culture. I’m proud of each one of them, thrilled to work by their sides and thankful every day for their effort and determination to exceed expectations.

Not only is this place one of the best places to work, it is also a profitable and growing business, employing local talent and creating memorable commerce experiences for more than 120,000 customers around the globe.

With Q4-2010 behind us and nothing left there but allowing the accounting team to close the books, there is a lot of exciting news to share in all areas of the business.

Sayers Technology Holdings

• On December 15th, we finally closed on our new headquarters as we purchased a 20,000 sq. ft. building located at 80 Pineview Drive in Amherst New York. This new building is 50% office / 50% warehouse and will be housing all of the STH entities (at least for the time being). The acquisition of this building is significant as it further solidifies our balance sheet while reducing our property (lease) expenses by more than 50%.
• Earlier in the quarter, Sayers Distribution was formed and launched to build, promote and manage our fulfillment and distribution services. In addition to general fulfillment and distribution, we are highly focused on VoIP endpoint provisioning, logistics and returns management for Voice over IP services providers around the globe. This division is being built up and managed by one of our Q3 new hires, Michael Russo, the executive vice president Sayers Distribution.

VoIP Supply

• It was a big quarter for VoIP Supply as well as STH. In October they launched the Nationwide Installations offering termed ‘Deploy’ and it has been very well received by our customers, many of whom had been asking for this service offering for several years.
• At the end of December, VoIP Supply was re-launched on its new commerce platform with a large number of feature, content and design enhancements. The customer feedback has been exceptional and the results are already visible with an increase in order volume and new customer acquisition.
• P&L-wise, it was a very good quarter for VoIP Supply, even though Q4 has been traditionally a lighter quarter with a lot of holiday downtime. No figures yet as the books remain open, however they will be exceptional and profitable once finalized.
• With some additional promotions and service offerings this quarter, VoIP Supply also saw an increase in online orders and new customers per month – a significant increase of nearly 35%. VoIP Supply is currently welcoming in between 750-1,000 new customers each month and adding them to our database of 100,000+ satisfied VoIP solution buyers.

IP Camera Supply

• IP Camera Supply also received a face-lift this quarter and migrated to its new commerce platform. This platform offers a lot in the way of future enhancements and additions to the store.
• Q4 was an excellent quarter for the company relative to sales and growth of the business. The work done in Q3 to tidy up the catalog and add a large number of new products is gaining traction and attracting new customers.
• There is a lot of focus on this store planned for 2011 with dedicated resources in product management, content creation and product/brand trainings. This division will be providing a lot of exciting news in the coming months.

Sayers Distribution

• This division was formed earlier in the year and is expected to grow quite rapidly in 2011. The initial focus is on product provisioning and fulfillment for VoIP service providers with planned expansion into multiple other market segments as the year moves on. (VoIPFulfillment.com)
• Prior to launching the division, Sayers Distribution is already at a financial break-even point with several sizable accounts utilizing our custom designed API and internet based portal. By the end of 2010 this division is already shipping more than 250 units per day and growing by double digits month over month.

There is more that happened in Q4 for sure, yet those are the highlights and largest events. Not bad for a three month period of time and certainly a testament to the amazing people working at Sayers Technology Holdings. Look for more exciting news in Q1 as we roll out another large initiative that combines activities from multiple entities and creates a service offering unbeatable by anyone in the industry at this time!

November finished up as another fantastic month for STH and its companies. A lot of accomplishments and progress. Here are the highlights.

• New Building: We are getting ready to move this month and expect to be in our new home by the end of the year. Yes, there is a lot of work to be done in order for that to happen, but we have a great crew hear and expect to get it all done in time. There are some really nice advantages to this new location. Pretty much the same size (20,000 sq. feet) but it has a large central warehouse unlike our current setup of three warehousing sections within the building. It also has a lot of office space with a circular pattern to it to increase and promote interaction and collaboration. It’s also got great lighting with a lot of windows and skylights throughout the offices and warehouse. Most importantly, we own it outright and it can grow with us.
• New VoIPSupply.com: It isn’t out yet, but we have an amazing new commerce platform near completion and prepping for a December launch. This new platform will provide a lot of enhancements to our store’s shopping experience and representation of our business and all that VoIP Supply has to offer. Keep an eye on VoIPSupply.com as it’s going to be a great leap of progress.
• Best month this year!: November was a fantastic month for all of our online stores with record-setting growth of new customer accounts and products sold. More importantly than a single month, year to date this is our best year ever (so far). Looking at some quick numbers, since August we have generated a 25% growth in new customers and orders.
• Top 100 Private Companies in WNY: VoIP Supply made it on this list for the 6th consecutive year, each year getting a bit closer to the number one spot. We moved one point this year and were #56 on the list compared to #57 last year.
• More to come: There are a couple of other projects getting near completion at the company and anticipate announcing them early in 2011. These projects are expected to increase our total annual revenue and profits by a significant percent in addition to the growth of our existing divisions. Stay tuned!
